Job description


Role & responsibility:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for all applications in production region and ensuring that all the applications are up and running before start of business.
  • Troubleshoot front end application issues that requires knowledge of Splunk, unix
  • Create Service Now dashboards for Incident management and tracking the overall hygiene of the ticket flow.
  • Batch Trail Monitoring, analysis of the failed jobs and depending on the severity and criticality of the applications, resolving problem within SLA time.
  • Coordinate application outages with different teams (Development, Database Admins & Infrastructure etc.) and third party organizations (Stock Exchanges etc.) to ensure they are resolved as per the SLAs and quality expectations.
  • Root cause analysis and problem management to fix recurring issues for the applications.
  • Basic troubleshooting wrt application servers, in case of distributed applications, such as taking server out of rotation, recycling and putting it back.
  • Identify manual tasks and coordinating within the team to automate these or shift lift to L1 team.
  • Do the impact assessment of all the new changes going in Production every weekend to ensure there is no adverse effect (Technical or Business) on the system.
  • Handle complex user requests for any data required from production environment and educating team on the same.
  • Interact with development teams for bug fixes, code migration etc.
  • Collect system and application performance stats on daily/weekly basis and identifying the areas of improvement.
  • SLA management to reduce SLA breach risks and hence, providing better outsourcing management to customer.
  • Interface with client to manage different project metrics.
  • Handle production releases and coordinating with different infrastructure teams for successful production deployments.onsibilities
